The Maha Karuna Dhamma & Language School, located at the Waikato Compassion Meditation Centre in Hamilton, proudly hosted its annual prize-giving ceremony on 8 December 2024. Held at Hillcrest Normal School, this special event brought together students, families, and the wider community to celebrate the exceptional achievements of the school’s students. The evening was a true celebration of talent and hard work. The audience was treated to a vibrant programme of performances, with students showcasing their skills through a delightful mix of songs, dances, and drama. Each act reflected the creativity, dedication, and enthusiasm of the performers, leaving the audience captivated and proud.
The success of the event was the result of a collective effort. Venerable Dunuvila Metteyya Thero and Venerable Rajawelle Dhammasiri Thero were instrumental in providing guidance and support, helping to inspire both students and teachers. Their leadership and encouragement were deeply appreciated by everyone involved. The school’s dedicated teaching team also played a crucial role in shaping the students’ journey. Their commitment to nurturing each student’s growth and learning was evident throughout the event. From organising the performances to ensuring the smooth running of the ceremony, their hard work and passion were acknowledged with heartfelt gratitude.
