The Only Sri Lankan Community Newspaper in New Zealand

Since 2007 we have been living with this reality!

Must read

Oh, the winter months are approaching! It is that time of the year again!

Each year we are facing this reality. Have you realised this is the beginning of April?  The daylight savings ends overnight each year on the first week of Sunday in the month of April.  Kiwi`s don’t forget to set back your clock an hour on Sunday 3rd April in the year 2023 !

When we talk about the history of daylight savings in Aotearoa, New Zealand, in 1868 — New Zealand standard time was set and in 1927 daylight saving was first introduced to New Zealand.

After many years in 2006 -2007 daylight savings was extended and confirmed through a public petition in New Zealand parliament and agreed to continue daylight saving procedure from the last Sunday in September to the first Sunday of the month of April.
