Cooking Method: Oven + Broil/Grill (or Slow Cooker version below)
Ingredients
- 2 racks pork baby back ribs (4–5 lbs)
- Salt & pepper to taste
- 1 tbsp garlic powder
- 1 tbsp paprika
- 1 can (12 oz) Coca-Cola (not diet)
- 1½ cups BBQ sauce (your favorite brand or homemade)
Instructions
1. Prepare the Ribs
1. Preheat the oven to 300°F (150°C).
2. Remove membrane from the back of the ribs.( if not already removed )
3. Season ribs with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
2. Bake with Coke
1. Place ribs in a large baking dish or roasting pan.
2. Pour Coca-Cola around (not directly on top of) the ribs.
3. Cover tightly with foil.
4. Bake for 2.5 hours, until ribs are tender.
3. Add BBQ Sauce
1. Remove from the oven and discard the Coke braising liquid.
2. Brush ribs generously with BBQ sauce.
4. Finish
1. Option A: Broil in the oven on high for 5–7 minutes, until the sauce is sticky and caramelized.
2. Option B: Grill over medium heat for 5 minutes per side, brushing with more sauce.
5. Serve
1. Let rest for 5 minutes. Slice and serve with extra BBQ sauce.
2. Serve with coleslaw / corn on the cob / potato chips
