‘Lottery Community’ round one has already been opened on the 22nd of June 2022. Applications will be accepted until midnight on Wednesday the 20th of July 2022.
The Fund provides grants for not-for-profit organisations with a community or social service focus for ongoing costs or projects that help improve the quality of people’s lives in their communities.
Funding requests are considered by 11 regional Committees and one national committee. Each committee has its locally-determined priority outcomes, and proposals most closely aligned with these priorities are more likely to be funded.
If the request is made by a national organisation or for a project or service with a nationwide benefit or will benefit two or more regions, the applications should be submitted to the Lottery National Committee.
We strongly encourage you to submit your requests well before the closing date. The ‘Community’ will then have enough time to process and give any feedback to the applications. The website provides detailed information on the documents needed and the projects eligible.
‘Your grant request will be considered incomplete if you don’t provide this information by the closing date for the funding round and will not be considered for funding,’ insists the Community website. It expects to decide on the round-one applications by the 19th of October 2022 the latest.
