When the whole world’s burden
up on my shoulders
I found a place to
unload it up on the boulders

And when the force of flood is
chasing me down on my path
I found a mountain
to climb out of my certain death

And when the waters were so rough
hammering down my boat
I found a harbor
That I could be safely afloat

And when the fire is raging all around me
threatening to gulf me down
I found cool and calm waters
that I could cover up to my crown

Then when my own inner enemies
running after me in their might
I found a cave
that I could be safely out of sight

Amidst the darkly vicissitudes of life
That throws me out of balance
I found the power of mindfulness within
to brighten me towards the goal of my life
