Yet another donation of a load of medical equipment worth over Rs.1.5 m was sent to the Karapitiya Teaching Hospital, Galle last month with the funds collected by Mr Ruwan Fernando in Waikato, Hamilton last month, coinciding with his 70th birthday.

A few ex-officials of Sri Lanka Friendship Society Waikato, including  Devinda Mahavithana, Haridu Lorensuhewa and Nadee Dharmasiri assisted Ruwan in this meritorious activity, done annually, while Mark Kariyawasam of Eco Movers (NZ) and Kapila Dissanayake provided the transport free of charge.
