NISHI RANATHUNGA, a dancing teacher, model, actress and a community advisor, who features in our news paper several times was awarded  MRS WOMAN OF UNIVERSE NEW ZEALAND 2022 in 𝐄𝐱𝐜𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐂𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐀𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐒𝐫𝐢 𝐋𝐚𝐧𝐤𝐚𝐧 𝐂𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐃𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐚𝐭 𝟗𝐭𝐡 𝐀𝐧𝐧𝐮𝐚𝐥 𝐍𝐞𝐰𝐬𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐤 𝐒𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐬, 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲, 𝐀𝐫𝐭𝐬, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐬 𝐢𝐧 2023, for their the second consecutive year.

NADHEE  PIYADHARSHANI,  well experienced dancing teacher in Sri Lanka and New  Zealand, known for her theoretical and practical training in Bollywood, Ballet, Sri Lankan Traditional and Folk Dance, Drama, Drumming and playing other instruments, was honoured to receive an Award for Promoting Classical Dance Forms at the  Sri Lanka Indian Newslink Sports, Community, Arts & Culture Awards Ceremony in  2023.
