Mutu Cooray, a Blockhouse Bay, Auckland art teacher from Sri Lanka has launched yet another project. Mutu Community Arts Studio, consisting of Mutu and his students organised an art show and workshop at Bupa Sunset Retirement Village in Blockhouse Bay on the 21st of June 2025. The main focus of this event was to engage the seniors in expression through art.

Mutu Community Arts Studio’s next project, titled; ‘Kelston Arts Exhibition’, supported by the Whau Local Board was held on Saturday the 23rd of August 2025 at Kelston Community Centre. The sales will support the Child Cancer Foundation.
